I honestly did not train as well as I should have for my first marathon. But it was not as difficult as I had first imagined. So now I’m super exited about preparing for the 2026 LA Marathon .

My training route in Upland includes a 5-mile climb up 866 feet of incline, starting over 1000 feet above sea level. This is the perfect environment for building hemoglobin. Then I follow-up with a half-mile or mile-long swim at 24 Hour Fitness .

My new training route

My new training route is illustrated to the left of this box. 5.19 miles one way, up an 866 foot climb. On the way back down I detour on Foothill to 24 Hour Fitness , for weights, sauna, and a mile swim.

“The BiomedRx Peak Performance Protocol consists of vigorous exercise, a nutritious diet, adequate supplementation, hydration, neurofeedback, and biomagnetic balancing.”— Devin Lockett
