Job Site Route
Food truck marketing and catering.I am the son of a contractor. A home builder, if you will. When my father was alive, he fell ill to heart disease, and had a pacemaker implanted. This is when I moved him into my home. My son was not yet one year old at the time. I tried to find ways to keep my father busy, as I knew his work was his passion. In this process we discovered a way to find all of the construction projects in progress, by data mining the building permit applications. I was able to map out the projects, and find my dad work.
After my father passed away, I got an idea to share this data with food truck operators. I knew a couple of guys who owned food trucks. They told me that the hardest thing about owning a food truck is finding a decent place to park and sell food. Many cities have ordnances against mobile food vendors. Restaurants usually don’t appreciate food trucks parking nearby, and often call the cops on them. And there is much competition between food trucks for good parking spots. They have even been known to cut each other’s tires! And in the best-case scenario, a food truck usually occupies 3 or 4 parking meters!

Job Site Route
Job Site Route is a mobile app for Android and iPhone that connects food trucks with construction sites, and allows civilians to find their favorite food trucks and pre-order through the app.
Download it today at the App Store or Google Play Store.
“Food Trucks can “keep it moving” from job site to job site, selling food all day. Construction workers and contractors don’t have to waste time leaving the job site for lunch breaks. And civilians can find their favorite food trucks, and pre-order food through the app.” — Devin Lockett
That was the birth of Job Site Route, a mobile app I developed for Android and iPhone. The Job Site route has 3 types of membership; Food Trucks, Contractors, and Civilians. Food Trucks join to get instant access to the GPS location of all of the active construction sites in the city. Contractors join to list their construction sites, and receive a steady stream of food trucks throughout the day. And civilians join to find their favorite food trucks, and pre-order food through the app.
For the premium membership, food trucks can enter their menu and receive pre-orders from civilians (and construction workers/contractors). Contractors can post an unlimited number of construction site locations. Movie production companies also use the contractor membership to add filming locations to the route. This is a great way to provide craft services. Everyone benefits from the Job Site Route app.
